Back-Chat

Back-Chat Back-Chat is an online series of socially
relevant artist talks that recounts the experiences of artists who have benefited from the programs and support of DVCAI since 1996. The program brings these global artists' voices and experiences to the forefront while offering support to local artists and community members seeking connection to the arts. The Back-Chat season theme, Diaspora Salon, shares the multilayered experiences of DVCAI’s International Cultural Exchanges and Suriname Artist in Residence artists. Hosted by Amanda Covach, Carol Campbell and Toby Thompkins, featured guests include Kurt Nahar, DVCAI and Readytex Art Gallery Artist and Yacine Tilala Fall, and Amanda Bradley.

The Back-Chat program is inclusive of all community members and visitors seeking a connection to the arts.

The Back-Chat program is inclusive of all community members and visitors seeking a connection to the arts. The Zoom session has a feature for automatic captioning that can be activated by the user. The active chat features allows for text submissions of questions and comments per the event rules.
